Yeah, it was the episode where they're cleaning up the leaves for Fall - I think it's called "Fall Weather Friends". My favorite part of that episode is just watching Twilight trot merrily along in the race, observing the fall colors.
I really enjoy the way the show shows the various friendships, common interests, and arguments between the ponies - Rarity & Fluttershy with fashion, Applejack & Rainbow Dash as "sporty" ponies, Pinkie Pie & Rainbow Dash as pranksters, Applejack & Rarity's disagreement in the sleepover episode, etc.
Was the original MLP good (either generally or as a cartoon for kids)? I played with the ponies, inherited from older cousins, but I never watched the show.
