A woman after my own heart - lists are fun:

1. Thank you! They can be a headache, and I never imagined how much it'd cost to live in SF with them, but they're totally worth it in the end.

2. *hopeful*

3. Heh. We spent most of our time in Oregon, but we did edge into Washington, where one set of grandparents live (just across the Columbia River from Oregon). Plus, despite the Bay Area/SF being called 'Northern California", there's about 300 miles of California from here until the border - and most of it feels much more "Pacific NW' than "Californian".

4. Me too! STBB cannot get here soon enough, even if it means there's a lot to do soon. *looking forward to reading lots of fun fics*

5. We'll be in NYC for a day and a half, which sorta sucks (because it's such an interesting city, and there's never enough time to explore), but it'll have to do. Plus we're mainly there to support this friend, who's been there for both of through thick & thin the past... eight years? He's a good friend, a good guy, and I just wish we could live closer!

6. I do plan to put together a list of Bollywood songs, but I haven't yet had a chance to do that - mostly because most of my Bollywood music is on our old desktop, so it's a hassle to go through it all. I'll be sure to ping you when I do! (The music I put up tonight is mashups, which are a ridiculous musical pleasure of mine. There's one Bollywood song on it - mashed up with Metallica to great effect! :D )

7. Aww, I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't get into Firefly, but, eh, tastes differ. I resisted watching BSG when it was originally playing, but a friend finally convinced me to pick it up maybe two years ago, and I was just blown away. It's ships in space, like Star Trek & Firefly, but it has a much grittier and real-world feel than either of those, I think. And it's very much serialized television - there's an overarching story going on, and things build like crazy (and it almost always gets WORSE and MORE TENSE). If you liked DS9, then you'd *probably* like BSG - Ronald Moore was the ex. producer on BSG and one of main producers/writers on DS9. So think DS9 in terms of feel, but, uh, more? Oh and the characters are fantastic and the series' music is * unbelievably* wonderful.

If you can make the time commitment, I'd suggest watching the miniseries and then the first, eh, three episodes. If it doesn't grab you by then, then it's probably not for you.
